The mayoralty tags

My work is a superposition of paint. My pictural codes come from graffiti. Embellished writing inscribed in geometric form covevered in part (Buffed) by a white wash of paint: just like in the street the mayoralty serviced buffed graffiti. Parts of writing appear with a tension set up between gesture and geometric. A contrast is created between forms and background, collision of paint, ink and methods of cleaning. Graffiti is an action buffing a reaction (often more visible, buffing could be thought of as being more visually prominent than graffiti). Buffing becomes an everyday charasteristic of our cities.
